Hamon Wind and Solar Design

With over ten years of experience delivering site-specific renewable energy designs, I work with developers, consultants, and engineers to assess and design sites for utility-scale wind farms, solar farms, and battery storage.

Through experience working in this constantly evolving industry, I understand the technical, logistical, and planning challenges involved in renewable energy development. I provide end-to-end design and assessment services that help clients move their projects on from feasibility through to planning and construction.

I am proud to have been a part of several successful planning permissions for my clients’ projects which are now operational wind and solar farms in Wales.

My services include (but are not limited to):

  • Topographical site suitability assessment

  • Turbine access route assessment and reports

  • Multifaceted site constraint analysis to optimize turbine, track, and hardstanding locations

  • Grid cable route assessment

  • PV layout design, constraint-tailored to real site conditions and shading

  • BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) compound layout design

  • Georeferenced plans for all planning submission requirements

  • Photorealistic visualisations for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)

Over the past decade, I’ve supported projects ranging from 2MW to 75MW — from early-stage feasibility studies to detailed layout design and successful planning permissions. I bring precision, flexibility, and practical insight to every project, helping clients navigate technical complexity with confidence.

If you're looking for a reliable, experienced professional who can work independently or as part of your project team, I’d be happy to discuss how I can support your next development.
